Hi people 🙂 …its been awhile…hope to give you guys a few short updatessss…

1) The past week has been the first full week we had in school…given my current timetable…I do have quite a lot of time on my hand…so pls pray that I would be able to use them wisely…be it to prepare homework / quizzes / tests…or just attempting to stay ahead of the class…

2) Dr Berg shared at one of the chapel sessions in the past week. In it, he shared why the memorization of God’s word is so important to a Christian. (apparently he shared it during church camp…but i wasn’t at the english section). In Eph 6:17, the word of God is described as the sword, and the sword is used during the heat of the battle. To a soldier, the using of the sword is second nature to him, and likewise, he reminded that the using of God’s word should be second nature to a Christian. When problems arise, when questions are asked, when our faith starts to waver, are there verses so deeply-rooted in us that we can respond to it immediately??? How can that happen when the word of God does not permeate our lives? How are we supposed to go into battle when we are not equipped with our “weapon”? Let us then be driven to show our love for Christ, not by words, but by our actions! 🙂

3) I was invited to go to a mooncake festival organised by the chinese community of greenville by Max, reason being it would be a good opportunity to reach out to chinese around the area and invite them to church. (I’ll upload some photos that I took while at the event soon). The event took place at Furman University, and there were ard 100~150 ppl. Max and William got to know several chinese students that were freshmen and managed to invite them over to a mooncake festival that MorningSide Baptist Church is having next sat nite. (Praise the Lord!!!) Please continue to pray for the event as well as the chinese ministry of this church, and also how we can share the word.

*There are 2 specific students who did show interest about the faith, and their names are Zhang Jing and 雅一, so if you can, pls remember them in your prayers.*

It’s currently 1205am and I think it is time for some rest…haha…I am encouraged that many have been encouraged by this blog. This blog was started with 3 main reasons:

1) testify God’s blessings along this journey and hopefully, giving God the glory He is due,

2) provide updates for people that are concerned / who has been praying for me, and this is the best way to acknowledge and thank you.

3) and if you happen to stumble across this blog, and have yet to know this God, I hope I can challenge you to come to know Him. 🙂

“Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.

So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.”      ~ Psalms 90
